Winecologist grew out of the love for wine. It is this love that brought us into the wine and hospitality industry resulting in over 20 years experience. We have worked in all roles in the hospitality industry and have represented several wine portfolios in both Canada and Australia.

Our Team
Felicia Bailey
Owner
Felicia Bailey is a curator in all facets of the hospitality industry. With over twenty years in the industry she has been able to accelerate in all roles. Her passion for wine got her immersed in working for some of the top wine agencies as a territory manager in Vancouver and Sydney Australia.
When returning back to Canada after many years in Australia she decided to jump back into the hospitality industry. She moved to Vancouver island and became the General Manager of the Renfrew Pub. She has recently moved away from that position after five years to fulfill her dream and start her own business with her husband called Winecologist.
She is certified in WSET and is an ISG Sommelier, and has had the opportunity of visiting first hand vineyards all over the world. She also loves getting out in the great outdoors for hikes, her two cats and getting together for a glass or two of wine!
Eric Bailey
Owner
Eric started his journey in the hospitality industry over 20 years ago. His knowledge and experience in both the back of house and front of house in the hospitality world is extensive. Most recently he was a senior bartender and staff trainer at the Renfrew Pub. He has had the privilege of working at many top hotels including the Fairmont and Pan Pacific in Vancouver to name a few.
Furthermore, Eric has a wealth of knowledge ranging from special events, fashion shows, private functions, weddings and more. All requiring wine, beer and spirits as an integral part of the planning. His love of wine brought him into the wine industry where he is currently studying for his WSET certifications.
He is lucky enough to have had the opportunity to go to many of the wineries through out the world meeting many head wine makers in the process.
FAQ
How much do your on premise tastings cost?
This will all depend on where your tasting is and what you require at your tasting. Some tastings require much more travel time and detail, which reflects in our pricing. Your best bet is to contact us and we can see what needs you have.
How long in advance do I have to book with you?
Typically the turn around will be very quick once you have contacted us. It also depends on the time of year as well. There are of course busier times like Christmas or events like the International Wine Festival for instance where more tastings do happen. However it will depend on our availability. Contact us and we can let you know.
Are you able to hire FOH staff as well?
While we do have years of experience hiring staff; we can only offer FOH staff training at this time.
My cellar is a mess. Can you help?
Yes we can. It is easy to not know what you have in your wine cellar. One bottle gets drunk and then another and another with no record of what you have.
We use industry standard software to catalogue what is in your wine cellar so you always know what you have and perhaps need to buy.
Can you track down wines and buy them for us?
Yes we can. We know that you often don’t have time to find a certain vintage and year of a wine. Let us go and buy that on your behalf.
What do I get for your on premise tastings
We offer many things for your on premise tasting. It can be as simple as just pouring your wine, beer or spirits from your portfolio.
We also offer more detailed reporting stating how much was sold during the tasting and can even do merchandising for that location if you require.
Can you represent us at a wine festival
Yes we can. We have sat behind the table pouring wine at many wine tastings for years. We are able to represent your brand with knowledge and professionalism.
Are you a liquor store?
No we are not a store. We do not have a liquor license at this time.
